top 3 reasons why katy,tx chooses
rock solid Martial Arts
1. Authenticity
Master Joseph Santarose’s roots in taekwondo run deep. He studied under the guidance of Grand Master Frank Santarose, 8th Dan, who (himself) studied under Grand Master Park. Grand Master Park was a primary student of Grand Master Choi - the Father of Taekwondo. Passing down the traditional ways of taekwondo from generation to generation with the utmost respect and preservation of its root and origin is an honor and privilege for Rock Solid Martial Arts - this is something that Master Joseph Santarose takes very seriously.

The reason for the tangible difference between Rock Solid Martial Arts and other schools you've tried is that authenticity - the dedication and esteem for the tradition and tenets of taekwondo (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit) is what drives the quality of Rock Solid Martial Art’s curriculum and it is the key motivating factor for our highly recommended and esteemed Master Instructor, Master Joseph Santarose.

2. Results Produced
What is the use of a black belt if you cannot defend yourself with the skills you should have learned as a white belt?
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”. The inherent physical and mental benefits of practicing taekwondo are numerous. Some of which are Health, Discipline, Respect, Leadership, and Integrity (just to name a few). Rock Solid Martial Arts equips our students with invaluable Self Defense Skills. Skills that (as reported by our students) have proven to be an essential asset to them when they unexpectedly found themselves being victimized by bullies. When you are diligent and engaged with your practice, you will have the mental and physical advantage and discipline to combat and conquer whatever challenge lies before you.

Don't take our word for it! Ask any of our students who have tread the path from Beginner - Black Belt & they will happily tell you how practicing with Rock Solid Martial Arts has been beneficial, enriching, and transformative for themselves and their family.

3. Community
Rock Solid is built, founded, and grounded in community and family. When Master Joseph Santarose started Rock Solid Tae Kwon-Do with the Saet Family in 2011, the objective was to provide an enriching service to families by way of teaching traditional martial arts. In doing so, it perpetuates and instills the integral and necessary virtues of taekwondo : courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit. It is because of this invested dedication to authenticity and quality - the deliberate choice to prioritize “the individual”- that Rock Solid Martial Arts earns your trust.

As we practice and exercise to become the best version of ourselves, life continues to happen! Good things, bad things, happy times, sad times - we travel and navigate through different seasons of life together and a natural camaraderie develops. We all come from different walks of life. This difference does not separate us, but rather, unites us! We learn from one another, we learn about one another, we laugh, we cry - the works! We are not perfect, but the Rock Solid Family does our best to love and respect one another, giving honor where honor is due - both in the dojang and outside in the "real" world.

Near or far, past or present, if we've had the privilege of working with you, know that you are always welcome here!
